UFC president Dana White was recently interviewed on ESPN’s SportCenter where he announced that the UFC is working to get Conor McGregor involved with the UFC early next year but made it clear that a return is not set in stone and that they are merely in talks.
“We’re actually working on some fun stuff for Conor at the beginning of next year, I’m not saying he’s coming back to fight guaranteed, but we’re talking right now about some stuff.”
Audie Attar (Mcgregor’s Manager) also expressed his excitement towards McGregor’s return to UFC.
“We had some very interesting talks with the UFC recently,” Attar admitted. “We are excited about the future and working on some fun things. Exciting things to come in the near future.”
McGregor originally planned to fight 3 times during his “2020 Season” but he retired shortly after his brief appearance at UFC 246 against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
It is not very clear what White means by “fun stuff” but seemed very against confirming that Mystic Mac would return and fight in the octagon.
Until Dana White and the UFC decide to shine more light on the McGregor’s return we will have to sit and ponder what the future holds for The Notorious Conor McGregor.
