Tyler East (15-6-0), a one time Bellator, King of the Cage and Legacy FC veteran, has been found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in New Mexico. Police from the Valencia Country Sheriff’s Office was responding to 911 calls of a domestic dispute at a residence in Los Lunas, 25 Albuquerque, New Mexico.
According to the New Mexico State Police Department the 30-year-old East had shot his girlfriend, he was then apparently shot by another man was at the residence of the call.
Police pronounced East dead at the scene of the crime, whilst his girlfriend is said to be in a stable condition at a hospital in Albuquerque.
Police are still hunting the man who allegedly shot East dead.
East who has a professional record of 15-6-0 last fought at Legacy FC 60 in October 2016 where he suffered a loss to Brian Heden by TKO. East is the brother of two-fight UFC vet Cody East (13-6-0). East is said to have a long history of incidences with the police.
In 2009, East was accused of beating up a fellow student at Belen High School, he was sentenced to three years probation for aggravated battery of the third degree.
East was again arrested in 2012 after an ex-girlfriend accused him of assault, he was charged with kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated burglary and bribing a witness, his ex accused him of being high off a cocaine binge during the alledged incident.
Police are still investigating the incident and are said to be on the hunt for Easts’ alledged killer.
