Action! ‘Hollywood’ is headed for New Orleans, Louisiana.

John Sweeney is set to return against former UFC fighter Nohelin Rodriguez. The two will meet in a bantamweight matchup at XMMA 4 on April 2nd, Sweeney tells MMA Island.

Sweeney is no stranger to the XMMA banner. Last July, Sweeney would only need 33 seconds to knock out Dre Miley at XMMA 2. Since then, he’d pick up a unanimous decision win over Leonardo Morales in Combat Global.

That makes it three wins in a row for Sweeney, who had a picture perfect 2021. ‘Hollywood’ looks to carry the hype into 2022 when he faces off against a former UFC fighter.

Nohelin Hernandez has been going back and forth when it comes to MMA and boxing. In the ring, he’s coming off a KO loss just a week ago. Let’s just say he’s seen better days as his boxing run consists of 6 losses.

Don’t get it twisted though. ‘Suave’ hasn’t looked bad inside the cage. He’d go 2-1 in pro MMA in 2021. Hernandez is coming off a unanimous decision win over Eduardo Torres last September in Combate Global.

Hernandez also had a short stint in the UFC, battling the likes of Jack Shore and Marlon Vera.

Sweeney will collide with Hernandez in New Orleans at XMMA 4 on April 2nd.
