The rivalry between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya has reached a boiling point after the two made some personal jabs over twitter, which caught the attention of UFC president Dana White.
It is no secret that both Jones and Adesanya hold legitimate distain towards each other, however the rivalry has only began to heat up after Adesanya’s decisive TKO over Paulo Costa.
The infamous Twitter beef reached a new level with both fighters taking shots at each others skillset, personal lives etc. It all seems to be leading to an inevitable clash between the middleweight champ and arguably the greatest light heavyweight in UFC and maybe even MMA history and it was just given the seal of approval UFC president Dana White.
During an interview with UFC Arabia, White said:
“That’s the fight to make, 100 percent, think that a fight between those two is massive”
No matter how much White and the rest of the UFC community wants this fight that does not necessarily mean it will happen immediately White mentioned.
“It doesn’t depend on what I want it depends on what they want to do.” said White. “Adesanya is a champ. He’s really coming into his own, and you can tell he knows this is his house, and he comes and acts like it. I think he wants the winner of Whittaker and Cannonier, and then we’ll see what happens after that.”
Will we see Adesanya X Jones in 2021?
