WMMA just got a lot more interesting.
The second edition of the 2021 PFL Playoffs has concluded. In the main event, Kayla Harrison would make quick work of Genah Fabian in classic Kayla Harrison fashion, scoring her third-straight 1st round TKO in a row.
With the win, Harrison would once again make her way into the PFL Championships, happening on October 27th. Her last stop before the 1 million dollar opportunity will be against fellow finalist, Taylor Guardado. However, it is not Guardado’s name that was echoed through the digital world.
That would be the likes of another potential challenger: Cris Cyborg.
The ‘grand slam’ MMA champion who holds belts in UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce and Invicta, would make waves in her campaign for a shot at the returning PFL Champ.

“I can make 155lbs…” Cyborg said.
Seeing as how Cyborg has competed at 145lbs her entire career, Harrison would poke fun at Cyborg for saying she could step on the scales at a heavier weight class.
“We know she (Cris Cyborg) can make 155 pounds!” Harrison told our reporter Darnel Giovani. “Congratulations! Do you want a participation trophy? You can make it, but you can’t beat me!”

By the looks of it, this wouldn’t sit well with the Bellator featherweight champion.
Cyborg would reload her systems and fire back at Harrison for asking her if she wanted a participation trophy.
“16 years I’ve been collecting trophies.” said Cyborg.
The femme fatale between WMMA superstars Kayla Harrison and Cris Cyborg will have to wait until the 2021 PFL season is over. Taylor Guardado awaits and will look to rewrite the undefeated record of the flawless Harrison.
