UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Volkov introduces another “Fight of the Night” contender featuring Raoni Barcelos squaring off against Timur Valiev. The two will meet in an exciting bantamweight clash on June 26th.

The boxing-heavy and pressure-forward style of Barcelos matched against the diverse and high volume striking of Valiev is a recipe for fireworks. While it’s true the pair love to stand and scrap, fans can expect to witness high-level action wherever the fight goes, for as long as it goes.

With combined records of 33-3-1, Barcelos and Valiev are two of the most skilled fighters on the roster. Barcelos alone has crafted a near-perfect record of 16-1 and a perfect UFC record. (W: 8 KO/TKO, 2 SUB, 4 UD, L: 1 SD). Valiev has an impressive resume of his own and he’s aiming to advance his record of 17-2-1 (W: 5 KO/TKO, 2 SUB, 10 UD, L: 1 SD, 1 SUB, 1 NC).

These two prospects share a mutual former opponent in Chris Gutiérrez. Barcelos defeated Gutiérrez via rear-naked choke in the second round of their fight in 2018. The Dagestani went 1-1 with Gutiérrez in 2016; losing once by split-decision and winning the rematch several months later by unanimous decision.

Raoni will seek to extend his winning streak to 10; Timur aiming to advance to 2-0, 1 NC under the UFC banner. A win for either man will solidify their place in the division as an up-and-coming contender. Regardless of the outcome, one thing is for certain, this is a fight you don’t want to miss.
