UFC veteran Rashad Coulter will face undefeated prodigy Hasim Rahman Jr on Saturday night’s Mike Tyson v Roy Jones Jr. card after Viddal Riley was removed from their scheduled bout just four days out.

Sources confirmed to MMA Island on Tuesday that Riley had suffered an undisclosed injury that will keep him out of this weekend’s blockbuster event, and it was confirmed by broadcaster Triller that he had been replaced by the 9-0 Rahman.

Speaking with MMA Island after the change, Coulter wished Riley, who is signed to Mayweather Promotions and was one of the star attractions of the card with millions of social media followers, well.

He said: “I wish Viddal the best. I pray he heals up quick and it’s nothing serious.

“I was looking forward to fighting him, but I most definitely need to be his opponent when he heals up. That’s a fight I have to get back…

“I’m blessed to still be on the card. Hasim is a skilled dude who has grown up around boxing, so it’s a new opponent but the same plan.

“I know he is southpaw and he switches but my job is to fight my fight and not let him dictate the pace.

“He is tough and has a good record, I have never ran from a fight and this will be great. I grew up watching his pops so this will be fun.

“But again this is strictly business.”

Triller told MMA Island when asked: “We have no on record comment at this time.”
