Tai Tuivasa is 10-3(4-3 in UFC) with 1 decision & 9 knockout wins. He is coming off of a knockout victory over Stefan Struve but also has notable victories over: Andrei Arlovski, Rashad Coulter & Cyril Asker. Tai is a dangerous striker fighting out of AKA. He had a little bit of a losing skid but, is finding his groove at his new gym and now with more experience under his belt. I feel as if Tai could be something big in this division in the future, but one fight at a time right now for the Aussie.
Chase Sherman is 15-6 (3-5 in UFC) with 1 decision & 14 knockout wins. He is on a 4 fight wins streak and has notable wins over: Rashad Coulter, Damian Grabowski & Isaac Villanueva. Sherman is a purple belt in kickboxing & a blue belt in BJJ fighting out of ATT. Sherman is a KO artist who is transitioning back to MMA from bare knuckle boxing. Both need W’s in the UFC and are trying to get into the top 15 so let’s pair em up and let em scrap!
Ben Rothwell is 38-13 (8-7 in UFC) with 28 knockout, 6 submission & 4 decision victories. Rothwell is coming off of a decision loss to Marvin Tybura but has notable wins over: OSP, Stefan Struve, Alastair Overeem, Roy Nelson, Brendan Schaub, Matt Mitrione & Josh Barnett. Rothwell is a purple belt in BJJ fighting out of Roufusport. Rothwell vas. Tuivasa would be a banger of a fight in my opinion and a bonus for either or both men guarenteed. I think being at AKA, Tuivasa will get better on the ground and if this fight happens, i think it would be pretty well matched.
Chris Daukus is 10-3 (2-0 in UFC) with 1 decision and 9 knockout wins. He is currently on a 3 fight win streak and has notable wins over: Parker Porter, Rodrigo Nascimento & Danny Holmes. Chris is a brown belt in BJJ ighting out of Martinez BJJ. The fact that we haven’t even really seen his grappling yet in the UFC is crazy. Daukaus is a risky fight for Tai to take, but, why not? Two powerful strikers trying to get into the rankings and make a name for themselves.
A couple of other good options would be Tom Aspinall & Juan Espino. Who would you like to see Tai fight next?
