A flyweight bout has been booked for the summer.

Cody Durden will return against JP Buys, sources told MMA Island. The bout is scheduled to take place on June 18th, location TBD. Both men look to rebound from recent losses.

Atlanta’s Durden wishes to get back in the win column. The flyweight is coming off a submission loss to undefeated prospect Muhammad Mokaev at UFC London. Prior to the setback, Durden would pick up his first win in the Octagon against Aoriqileng in November.

“Contract signed,” Durden said. “I’ll fight the whole division. Not scared of non of ya. Let’s get back in the win column.”

On the other side of the cage, we have JP Buys.

Buys looks to score the first win of his UFC career in June. ‘Young Savage’ has suffered two back-to-back losses to Bruno Silva and Montel Jackson. His last win would come against Jacob Silva on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020.

Like Durden, he looks to get back to winning ways. We’ll see which flyweight prevails this summer.
