Curtis Millender (18-8) envisions a violent finish for his fight at XMMA4, where he will face Jared Gooden (19-7) in the co-main event.

The Prediction

Speaking to MMA Island’s Michael Placencia, “Curtious” made his intentions for Saturday night apparent. When asked how he plans to finish the fight, his answer was nothing short of explicit.

Headkick knockout – a tiger doesn’t change his stripes.”

Confident in his striking ability, he feels as if opponent Gooden nor anyone else has a chance against him in the stand-up realm. He also took the opportunity to dismiss Gooden’s own claims that he could beat Curtis “everywhere”, which he made last week to MMA Island.

We all know that’s a lie, because there’s not a man on the planet that can beat me on the feet – period. He can try to beat me everywhere but y’know, I’m just here to cancel all that out.”

Debut at XMMA4

Since his departure from the UFC, Millender has fought in Bellator and most recently the PFL – where he fought during their 2021 season. During the season he faced the likes of former Bellator welterweight-champion Rory MacDonald and Russian standout Magomed Magomedkerimov.

Now making his XMMA debut, we asked him why about the promotion caught his attention. To which he shared his enthusiasm for the card.

I mean, you see guys putting on a show like this with a lot of ex-UFC guys, a lot of big names, why wouldn’t you want to be part of it? I’m just honoured and blessed that they wanna bring me on so, I’m ready to do it, I’m going to perform.”

Millender makes his XMMA debut on Saturday the 2nd of April at the Fillmore in New Orleans.
