Featherweight fighter Kyle Bochniak is set to fight Carlton Minus at XMMA 4.
Bochniak had words of praise for the promotion. He stated that he was extremely excited to fight on that card and dubbed the promotion as “spectacular” and “extremely professional”. ‘Crash’ was then proposed the much-speculated idea of him being the XMMA champion. He responded positively saying that he loved the idea. He even stated that there were some talks about him fighting for a title in his upcoming fight.
“I love that idea,” Bochniak told MMA Island. “I was trying to, we were trying to talk about having a title fight for this fight but nobody wanted to fight me. It was tough. I actually got on last minute, Carlton Minus stepped up, so big props to him….so maybe the next one will be a title fight.”
Kyle then talked about the match up and stated that he was a tough one for anyone. Bochniak has had some trouble getting booked and he thinks that his ‘gritty’ style is the reason why.
“I’m a tough matchup for anyone. I bring the fight. I’m a real fighter, gritty fighter. I don’t think people want to fight that type of person.”
However, one man would eventually step up and that’s Minus.
“Carl Minus, he likes to move backwards a lot, I like to come forward a lot. Should make for an exciting fight. Me putting the pressure on him. Watching him, just keep putting it on until he wilts and then hit him with a big shot. And that’s it.”
Bochniak later talked about his emotional post-fight embrace against Marcus Brimage. He stated that Brimage was a “good dude” and that he had a lot of respect for him. He also has a lot of respect for Minus for taking the fight but expected it to go his way.
Kyle promises an exciting fight, a high paced, intense one. Tune in to XMMA 4 to see him fight Carlton Minus.
“Just an exciting fight man. It’s gonna be nothing but fireworks, nothing but fireworks. Moving forward, lots of combos, mixing it up, putting the pressure on him. Should be exciting.”
